Definition

A social-media–centric teen/young adult subculture defined by an alt, emo/anime-inspired aesthetic and a flirtatious, performative online persona; e-girl for females, e-boy for males. Often linked to TikTok/gaming communities and sometimes used pejoratively to imply an attention-seeking internet personality.
