Definition

Hockey slang for the space between a goaltender’s legs; also a goal scored through that gap.

Examples

"He deked forehand-backhand and slid it five-hole to tie the game."

"The goalie sealed the posts but left the five-hole wide open."

"That cheeky wrister squeaked through the five-hole with two seconds left."
