Take a seat

Gen Z Slang

Definition

A snarky, dismissive retort telling someone to back off and stop talking because they’re out of line—basically “sit this one out” and be humble.

Examples

"Take a seat, nobody asked for your hot take on my life."

"You’re acting like the main character—take a seat and let someone else talk."

"Take a seat, because that energy is not it and you’re way out of line."
